The 22-year-old in Tirana was blackmailing citizens with derogatory photos on social networks and asking for money in exchange for deleting the materials.

A 22-year-old man with the initials E. Xh has fallen into the hands of the Tirana police, as according to police sources it is said that he was taking photos and videos and publishing them on fake profiles, blackmailing different people.

Police sources indicate that the young man demanded large sums of money, up to 1000 euros, in exchange for the deletion of derogatory materials.

From the verifications carried out, it turned out that this citizen is the author of several events of this criminal nature, with victims living inside and outside Albania.

He took various photos and videos on social networks, which he published on fake profiles, with insulting and derogatory expressions, and for their deletion he demanded sums of money, the 22-year-old was put in handcuffs.

Services of the Sector for the Investigation of Cyber ??Crimes in cooperation with the Police Station No. 6, following the work to combat cybercrimes and bringing the citizens who commit them to criminal responsibility, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "R-13".

As a result of this operation, citizen E. Xh., 22 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested. From the investigative actions carried out, it was found that this citizen was taking photos and videos of different people on social networks, which he published on fake profiles, with insulting and derogatory expressions. For the deletion of these posts, the 22-year-old demanded sums of money in return, which went up to €1,000.
From the verifications carried out, it turned out that this citizen is the author of several events of this criminal nature, with victims living inside and outside Albania. During the investigations, an old event was also documented by the Cyber ??Crimes Investigation Sector.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further procedural actions.
