179 bullets seized in Vlora/ 31-year-old woman prosecuted

Vlora Police have seized 179 pieces of fireworks in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, which were being held for trade in violation of the law.

As a result, 31-year-old DK was criminally prosecuted. Pyrotechnic items were seized as material evidence.

Police announcement:

As part of the implementation of the plan of measures to prevent and crack down on the illegal trade of pyrotechnics, on the eve of the end-of-year holidays, the services of the Vlora Police Commissariat, in cooperation with specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes, have intensified controls on commercial entities.

As a result, during the inspection carried out at a commercial entity with food activity, in the "Pavarësia" neighborhood, Vlora, 179 pieces of pyrotechnics (fireworks) were found, which were being held for trade in violation of the law.

The pyrotechnic items were seized as material evidence, and specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office and criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen DK, 31 years old, resident of Vlora.

Controls to prevent the illegal trade of pyrotechnics will continue throughout the territory of the Vlora district, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of citizens during the end-of-year holidays.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
