1,400 packages of contraband goods were seized/ their value was 20,000 euros

Specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes in DVP Tirana and of the Sector of the Special Operational Force in DVP Tirana, following the work to prevent, identify and attack criminal activity in the field of goods smuggling, after a thorough job investigations, in cooperation with the Durrës Local Police Directorate and the Vlorë Local Police Directorate, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Delivery".   

As a result of this operation, citizens ML, 36 years old, resident of Tirana and F. Gj., 27 years old, resident of Durrës, were arrested. 

In addition, the proceeding was started in free status for the citizen Xh. S., 41 years old, resident in Tirana, and citizen SB, 43 years old, resident in Vlora, was declared wanted. 

In Kashar, during the control of the private mail warehouses with administrator citizen ML, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, 1400 packages with various goods, mainly clothing, without accompanying tax invoices or customs declarations for the origin of the goods.   

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the citizen ML supplied, through his mail, with goods, the citizen F. Gj., administrator of an entity in Durrës, and the citizen SB, administrator of an entity in Vlora. During the search in these two subjects, packages with smuggled goods, which were sold at retail, were also found.
