Money on the floor/ Footage of armed robbery in the "May 5" area

Footage of a gunshot robbery that occurred this morning at a shopping mall in the "5 Maj" neighborhood has been released. The perpetrator, who stole around 3 million lek at gunpoint, has now been arrested by the police.

Police announcement:

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Itinerary" is finalized.

He stole about 3 million lek from a currency exchange shop in a shopping mall, threatening the employee with a pistol, the 42-year-old was identified, located and arrested.

The 42-year-old, with a criminal record for the same criminal activity.

The firearm, a pistol, a portion of the stolen money, and the clothing used during the robbery were seized. 

The services of Police Station No. 4, immediately after receiving a report of a theft case on "5 Maji" Street, have organized, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the work to identify and capture the perpetrator. 

As a result of rapid investigative and operational actions by the services of Police Commissariat No. 4, the identification, capture and arrest of the citizen took place:

-LM, 42 years old, resident of Tirana.

This citizen is suspected of having stolen around 3 million lekë, threatening the employee with a firearm, from a currency exchange shop inside a shopping center on "5 Maji" street.  

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
