Operation in Korça/ Drugs seized at Kapshtica customs

An operation between the Korça local police department and the border and migration department resulted in the seizure of drugs at Kapshtica customs.

It is learned that following information received, a Greek citizen was arrested at the Kapshtica border crossing with a quantity of drugs inside the vehicle.

According to preliminary information, the Greek citizen modified part of the vehicle to enable the introduction of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa. The quantity seized is about 30 kilograms.

The Greek citizen was caught attempting to cross into the neighboring country, while the police immediately intervened to discover the amount of drugs hidden in the vehicle.

The latter is suspected of having obtained the drugs in the Albanian state and wanted to take them to the Greek state, while he was arrested by the police.
