She took a bribe/ The officer of the Judicial Police is arrested

The specialists of the Regional Directorate of the Tirana Police Surveillance Agency executed the decision of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, which has set the measure of personal security "House arrest" for the AN police officer, with the duty of Specialist in the Sector Against Economic and Financial Crime, in the Local Police Directorate of Tirana.

The determination of the measure was made after the Regional Directorate of AMP Tirana, under the direction of the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), conducted investigations within the criminal proceedings of 2023, on suspicions of committing the criminal offense "Passive corruption of judges , prosecutors and other officials of justice bodies".

From the investigations, reasonable suspicion has been created that the 47-year-old woman, in the capacity of Judicial Police officer in the Anti-Economic and Financial Crime Sector, requested and received a sum of money in the form of a bribe, against the promise of easing the criminal positions of the persons she was investigating.

Investigations continue to identify other persons involved in this illegal activity.
