Sentenced to over 11 years in prison for theft and prostitution/ 43-year-old wanted by Italian authorities arrested

As part of the work to locate and capture wanted persons, based on information obtained through operational means, the services of the Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Decision".

As a result of the operation, on "Don Bosko" Street, it was possible to capture and temporarily arrest, with the aim of extradition, the citizen Elton Miha, 43 years old, resident of Tirana.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Appeal of Florence/Italy, in 2015, sentenced him to 11 years and 10 months in prison, for the criminal offenses of "Aggravated Theft", "Exploitation of Prostitution", and "Violation of Migration Law", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

The investigative materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, with the aim of extradition to Italy./ CNA
