"3000 euros per person"/ Turk caught illegally smuggling migrants into EU countries

Specialists of the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Section, as a result of the immediate administration of information obtained operationally, that a citizen was transporting immigrants, in exchange for payments, finalized the ninth phase of the "Relay" operation.

Within this phase, Turkish citizen GK, 26 years old, was arrested in flagrante delicto, who was caught on the "Kashar-Thumanë" road axis, transporting by vehicle, for a payment of 3,000 euros per person, 3 immigrants who intended to move illegally towards EU countries.  

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, investigations continue to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens who may have been involved in this case./ CNA
