CNA has provided the photo of the victim of today's assassination attempt in Rrëshen, Martin Bardhit. The photo was taken a few minutes after the barrage of bullets. The 60-year-old died at the scene. 

In a statement to the media, the director of the Lezha Police, Elezi, said that the victim was shot dead in his bar, while the people who were sitting at the table with him were injured, whom he said are under the care of doctors.

The Senior Police Officer said that there were 2 masked perpetrators who fled in a black SUV, which was later found burnt.

As for the investigation tracks, Elezi underlined that the conflicts of the Bardhi tribe with other tribes are known, but the investigations are still ongoing for the full clarification of the circumstances.

Initially, Enrik Bardhi (son of the victim) and Saimir Reçi had a conflict. Then Enrik Bardhi went to the apartment and took the gun to shoot his peer.

Along with Enrik, his father (the victim of today's assassination attempt) also went, who shot at the armored car of Saimir Reçi, who, as a result of the shooting, lost control of the vehicle and collided with the curb. on the way. 

No one was injured in the shooting. Saimir Reçi is the nephew of Kastriot Reçi executed in 2020.
