The former director of the Lushnja prison was arrested/ He was wanted since 2022

The police arrested the former director of Lushnja prison, Judmir Shurdhi, 43 years old.

He was put in handcuffs thanks to the coded operation "Last Meeting".

Shurdhi was sentenced by the Special Court on December 7, 2022, to 1 year and 4 months in prison, for the criminal offense "Violation of the equality of participation in public tenders or auctions", committed in cooperation.

This citizen, in the period 2020-2021, during which he was the director of the Kosovo prison, Lushnjë, in cooperation with other citizens, committed actions that constitute a violation of the equality of participation in tenders or public events.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana, for further action./ CNA
