33 fires in two days, one of them in a business on the highway/ 28 perpetrators

During the last 48 hours, 33 fires were reported throughout the country.

One of these fires is the burning of the "Deutsch Color" business on the Tirana-Durrës highway.

As soon as it was made known, the police engaged 79 specialists for the investigation of crime and criminological experts, to carry out investigative actions for cases of arson.

As a result, 28 suspected perpetrators of arson were identified, of which 11 were arrested in the act, 16 were processed at large, while one was declared wanted.

As for extinguishing the fires, 440 police officers went to the field to assist the firefighting and civil emergency services.

The Police Services, in many cases, evacuated the residents, since the apartments and premises were at risk of being engulfed by flames.

The State Police appeals to citizens not to light fires under any circumstances, as this action constitutes a crime and is punishable by law.

It also invites them to report any such case to the number 112, with the aim of immediate intervention to extinguish the flames and criminal proceedings against the responsible citizens./ CNA
