Police Station No. 3 in Tirana has successfully finalized the operation codenamed "Flagrance 1". A 33-year-old citizen has been arrested for circulating with a firearm. The weapon was found during a search of the vehicle, while combat ammunition was also seized.

Police Announcement:

Tirana/Successive operations continue to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal weapons possession.

The police operation codenamed "Flagrance 1" is being finalized by Police Station No. 3.

The 33-year-old was arrested for driving with a firearm in his vehicle.

The firearm and ammunition are seized.

In continuation of the work to crack down on criminal activities in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on information obtained through operational channels, the Police services have organized the work and finalized the police operation codenamed "Flagrance 1", as a result of which citizen ED, 33 years old, resident of Lezha, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

This citizen was stopped by the Police while driving a "Benz" vehicle, in which, during the search, the Police found 1 firearm, a pistol, and combat ammunition, which were seized as material evidence.

Investigations are ongoing to discover the purpose for which this citizen was carrying firearms.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
