Part of Nikla's gang/Edison Pula arrested

The State Police has finalized a police operation to capture two internationally wanted citizens.

Operation "Together" resulted in the arrest of 1 citizen sentenced to 14 years in prison for several serious criminal offenses and 1 citizen accused by French authorities.

One of the arrested, citizen Edison Pula, 30 years old, born in Kruja, had previously been sentenced to 14 years in prison for several criminal offenses.

Also, citizen AS, 31 years old, wanted by French authorities, was arrested.

This operation was also carried out in coordination with police partners and collaborators.

According to the Police:

"As a result of the provision of information by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force (FAST Albania) on the location of a citizen convicted in Albania for several serious criminal offenses, as well as the exchange of this information with FAST counterparts in Luxembourg, through the coordination of the ENFAST network, the police operation codenamed "Together" was organized and finalized."

As a result of this operation, citizen Edison Pula, 30 years old, born in Krujë, was located and arrested, sentenced to 14 years in prison, for the criminal offenses of "Premeditated murder", "Destruction of property with explosives", "Theft with violence", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Theft" and "Removal of a prisoner from the place of residence".

Further, during this operation, based on a European arrest warrant issued by the French authorities, citizen AS, 31 years old, was arrested.

"Interpol's counterpart offices are continuing their cooperation to finalize the extradition procedures for these citizens," the announcement states. / CNA
