The Investigative Structures of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of the Kurbin Judicial District, arrested the citizen Jeton Lami, 28 years old, a resident of Tirana, with the duties of a police officer (agent), at the Directorate of the Special Operational Force in the State Police .

Police officer Lami is suspected of having supported and transported the much-wanted person Ervis Martinaj.

"Strukturat Hetimore të Drejtorisë Vendore të Policisë Lezhë, në bashkëpunim me Prokurorinë e Rrethit Gjyqësor Kurbin, bënë ndalimin e shtetasit J. L., 28 vjeç, banues në Tiranë, me detyrë punonjës policie (agjent), pranë Drejtorisë së Forcës së Posaçme Operacionale në Policinë e Shtetit. Pas hetimeve të kryera në kuadër të procedimit penal të vitit 2022, për veprën penale të rrëmbimit të personit, referuar nga strukturat hetimore të DVP Lezhë, pranë Prokurorisë së Rrethit Gjyqësor Kurbin. Gjykata e Shkallës së Parë Kurbin, me vendimin e datës 23.08.2022, ka caktuar ndaj shtetasit J. L. masën e sigurimit personal "Arrest në burg", për veprën penale "Shpërdorimi i detyrës".

The in-depth investigations show that the 28-year-old, being a police officer, misused his duty by supporting and transporting a highly wanted person. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Kurbin for further action./ CNA.al
