Cocaine business in the middle of the city/ 2 Albanians arrested in Florence

Carabinieri officers in Florence, Italy, arrested two Albanian citizens, aged 35 and 19, on suspicion of possession of narcotics.

A search warrant was issued for the two citizens, both based in Florence, by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Florence, following an investigation carried out by the Borgo San Lorenzo Operations Unit and the Carabinieri Radiomobile, which uncovered evidence against them. Both were found responsible for a thriving cocaine trafficking business, both in the city of Florence and in its province.

The checks confirmed the suspicions, as both money and narcotics were found in both houses. A total of approximately 115 grams of cocaine were seized, part of which was already divided into individual doses ready for retail sale, along with precision scales and various packaging materials.

In addition to the narcotics, nearly 20,000 euros and more than $300 in cash believed to be related to drug trafficking were found and seized, indicating that the dealers also had American tourists and students among their clients.

The two arrested people were held in the Sollicciano prison in Florence. The judicial authorities confirmed the arrest and implemented the precautionary measure of house arrest. /CNA
