Around 12 thousand saplings destroyed in Shkodra, 4 people prosecuted

12,203 narcotic plants were found and seized in Shkodra.

Specifically, 455 plants in the Pult Administrative Unit and 11,748 narcotic plants in the Temal administrative unit.

As a result, a forestry engineer, the village headman of Kllogjen, and two forest rangers were criminally prosecuted.

Shkodra District/ The police operation "Coordination" continues, to prevent and crack down on attempts to cultivate narcotic plants!

The Shkodra Local Police Directorate and its subordinate Police Stations, within the framework of the extensive "Coordination" operation, have intensified controls throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, with the aim of preventing and cracking down on the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants.

Based on police intelligence and monitoring from the air with drones and on the ground with foot patrols, 12,203 suspected narcotic plants and seedlings of the cannabis sativa species have been located and destroyed.

Specific cases:

Administrative unit Pult, Shkodra.

The services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 455 narcotic plants. In this case, proceedings were initiated against the forestry engineer, citizen AM, for abuse of office and failure to report a crime.

Temal administrative unit, Vau i Dejës.

The services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat destroyed 11,748 narcotic plants. The following actions were taken in this case:

The headman of the village of Kllogjen, Gj. G., for abuse of office;

Two forest rangers, citizens P. Sh. and FG, for abuse of office.

Work continues to identify, apprehend, and prosecute the perpetrators of these cases.
