Accused of corruption and money laundering/Extradiated to Albania, the most wanted person by justice

Thanks to the close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Harare, it was possible to locate, capture and extradite from Zimbabwe, a country in Southern Africa, the Albanian citizen Loran Dusha, 42 years old, born in Lushnja, who was declared internationally wanted.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), in 2022, had assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Active corruption of high-ranking state officials or local elected officials" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", committed in collaboration.

The investigations have revealed that Loran Dusha, in his capacity as administrator of a private company, has illegally benefited from public funds, through fictitious invoices and payments, for unfinished work and services.

After arriving in Albania, the 42-year-old was handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons./ CNA
