Abused a disabled girl/ 44-year-old arrested in Shijak

A 44-year-old man has been arrested by police after having forcible sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old disabled woman.

A rubber bat and an unlicensed shotgun were found in the suspect's apartment in the village of Xhafzotaj, Shijak.

The Crime Investigation Specialists at the Shijak Police Station, immediately after receiving a report about a citizen who had forcibly had sexual intercourse in an abandoned apartment in the village of Pjezë, with a female citizen suffering from mental health problems, organized the work to capture him.

As a result, citizen HG, 44 years old, resident of the village of Pjezë in the Xhafzotaj Administrative Unit, Shijak, was arrested and handcuffed.

During the search of the suspected perpetrator's apartment, the Police found and seized as material evidence a rubber baton and a shotgun, which he was carrying without permission from the competent authorities.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for the criminal offenses of "Committing sexual relations with adults, with persons incapable of defending themselves", "Unauthorized possession of hunting weapons by the competent authorities" and "Unauthorized possession of cold weapons by the competent authorities"./ CNA
