Zelensky: Ukraine attacks have reduced the capacity of Moscow oil refineries by

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine's long-range attacks on refineries inside Russia have reduced Moscow's oil refining capacity by 20%.

Over 90% of these deep strikes on Russian soil were carried out by long-range weapons manufactured in Ukraine.

The president said that Ukraine needs additional foreign financial assistance to produce more of them.

"We just have to work on this every day," Zelensky said.

Oil exports play a key role in financing Russia's full-scale occupation of Ukraine, and new sanctions from the European Union and the United States are aimed at reducing Moscow's oil and gas export revenues. China and India are the biggest customers for Russian oil.

Zelensky said India has given all signals that it will reduce imports of energy resources from Russia and that he hopes that Trump's planned meeting with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in South Korea on Thursday will bring further reductions in purchases of Russian crude oil. /CNA
