The Judicial Council of Kosovo has recently published the decision to dismiss Lilijana Stevanovic from the position of president of the Basic Court in Mitrovica. 

In the decision, it is underlined that Stevanovic was dismissed because of the speech he gave in the protest called by Lista Serbe in the square of North Mitrovica, after the mass resignations of Serbs in the 4 northern municipalities, Leposavic, Zubin Potok, Zveçan and North Mitrovica, started.

"The Judicial Council of Kosovo, on December 6, 2022, has accepted from the president of the Supreme Court, Mr. Enver Peci, the request for the initiation of the disciplinary investigation for the president of the Basic Court in Mitrovica, Mrs. Ljiljana Stevanovic, claiming that she participated in the protest organized by the political entity "Lista Serbe", dated November 6, 2022, held in the northern part of Mitrovica. According to the findings of the Competent Authority, the subject of this disciplinary investigation, Mrs. Ljiljana Stevanovi?, in this protest, addressed the participants with a random sentence, that according to him, the speech delivered by the same does not coincide with the duty of the judge, which speech was almost entirely political, with non-existent findings and directed against himself the judicial system of the Republic of Kosovo, in which it has been integrated with its will" - the decision states.

We remember that during her speech, Stevanovic said:   "My people, brothers and sisters, long live Serbia, our homeland, long live our president Aleksandar Vucic, we expect help from him;... Our president Aleksandar Vucic, never leaves this nation."
