Israeli attacks continue in Gaza / Two Palestinians killed, several others

At least two Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza City. The Israeli military said the target of the attack was a Hamas militant.

Health officials in the Palestinian enclave did not release the names of the victims, adding that several people were injured in a house bombing in a Gaza neighborhood.

An IDF spokesman said Hamas militants had launched an attack on Israeli soldiers earlier in the day. He added that the airstrike targeted a Hamas commander who is suspected of ordering the attack on Israeli soldiers.

Meanwhile, in the Rafah area, in the southern part of the enclave, an Israeli-backed Palestinian militia reported the killing of two Hamas fighters.

Israel and Hamas accuse each other of violating a ceasefire agreed in the Gaza Strip, which came into effect on October 10 after two years of war in the Palestinian enclave. In the past three months, more than 400 Palestinians, most of them civilians, according to local authorities, and three Israeli soldiers have been killed in the Gaza Strip. /CNA
