"I hope that the one who has been closest to the citizens wins"/ Glauk Konjufca speaks after the vote

Former Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, has cast his vote for the snap elections being held today in Kosovo.

Konjufca said he hopes the best person wins, adding that for two decades Kosovo has shown maturity in building democracy. He called for the highest possible participation in the elections.

"The elections must be held peacefully. I hope that the best person, the one who has stayed closest to the citizens of Kosovo, wins."

"It has been more than two decades since Kosovo has shown its maturity in building democracy. I hope that everything will go well and that all citizens will exercise their right to vote. Only in this way can we become participants in building our state and republic," said Konjufca. /C N A
