Trump fires Kennedy Center chairman and several board officials

President Donald Trump has announced that he has fired the president of the Kennedy Center in Washington and several officials from its Board of Trustees.

Trump said the mayor and staff did not share the same vision for a golden age in arts and culture.

“Under my leadership, we will make the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., great again. I have decided to immediately remove certain individuals from the Board of Trustees, including the Chairman, who do not share our vision for a golden age in arts and culture. We will soon be announcing a new Board, with a wonderful Chairman, DONALD J. TRUMP! Just last year, the Kennedy Center introduced Drag Shows specifically aimed at our youth. The Kennedy Center is an American gem and should showcase the brightest stars on its stage from across our nation for the Kennedy Center. The best is yet to come!” Trump wrote./ CNA
