Three more bodies of Israeli hostages have been found in Gaza

The bodies of three more Israeli hostages have been recovered from Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. They are Hanan Yablonka, Michel Nisenbaum and Orion Hernandez. 

The victims were recovered from the northern town of Jabalia overnight in a joint operation with Israel's Internal Intelligence Agency.

This comes a week after the bodies of three other hostages were taken from Gaza, the BBC reports. 

The hostages found dead were among the 252 people who were taken when Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on October 7, killing an estimated 1,200 people. There are about 130 still held in Gaza, Israel says.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote on the "X" social network: "We have a national and moral duty to do everything we can to return our hostages, the living and the dead, and that is what we are doing."/ CNA
