Tragedy in Kocani with 51 victims/ Begaj and Spiropali react

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has reacted on social media to the tragedy in Kocani, North Macedonia, which claimed the lives of 51 people. Begaj expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and to all the people of the neighboring country.

" Shocked by the tragedy that has occurred, by the loss of young lives and the injury of many others from the fire that broke out in a discotheque in the city of Kocani, North Macedonia. My sincere condolences go to the families who lost their loved ones and to all the neighboring people of North Macedonia. My prayers and those of the Albanian people go to the injured, that they find a speedy recovery and that the pain in the city of Kocani does not worsen ," writes President Begaj.

 

A reaction to the Koçan tragedy also came from the Speaker of Parliament Elisa Spiropali.

The Speaker of Parliament expresses her sorrow for the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

" Sad news about the terrible tragedy in Kocani, North Macedonia, where dozens of girls and boys lost their lives. On this sad Sunday, I stand with the families who lost their loved ones. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. Strength and courage to the people and authorities of North Macedonia in facing this great disaster ," writes Spiropali./ CNA
