Politician Ivan Vukovic released/ Banned from entering Serbia for one year

Serbian media report that Montenegrin politician, deputy leader and MP of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Ivan Vukovi?, who was detained this morning in Belgrade, has been released.

Vijesti.me writes that Vukovi? has been banned from entering Serbia for a year due to "security threats." He was detained by Serbia's Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA).

Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanovic, announced this afternoon on Platform X that Vukovic was free and on his way to Montenegro. He said he was informed of this by his Serbian counterpart, Marko Djuric.

A source from the DPS said earlier that the lawyer they had hired had told them that Vukovic was not at the Savski Venac police station. That source said at the time that it was possible that he would be deported and brought to the airport shortly before the flight.

Vukovi? told authorities that he was in Belgrade to accompany a family member who was there for health reasons. He explained that they were going to return to Montenegro, but he was detained anyway. Vukovi? shared a video from the protest in Belgrade on his Facebook page last night./ CNA
