Tragedy in Kocani/ 15 people arrested, including the former state secretary of the Ministry of Economy

The Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Pance Toshkovski, in a statement to the media, said that the license of the club in Kocani, where the tragedy occurred, is linked to bribery and corruption. Toshkovski said that the persons who granted this license have been identified and will be held accountable.

" This license is related to bribery and corruption. In this case, those who granted this license have their names and surnames and will be held accountable ," said Toshkovski.

Toshkovski also announced that 15 people have been arrested, including the former state secretary of the Ministry of Economy. The Macedonian Interior Minister announced that 20 minors are among the injured, while 3 of the 59 dead are minors.

In the early hours of the morning, a fire engulfed a discotheque in Kocani, North Macedonia, killing 59 people and injuring 155. Of the victims, only 35 have been identified. The cause of the fire was the use of pyrotechnics./ CNA
