The former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, said before the panel of judges at the Special Court in The Hague that the accusations of Dick Marty's report on the trafficking of human organs are fabricated.

Thaçi continued his speech by showing that he asked the international community to investigate this issue independently.

The former president of Kosovo has expressed his wish that the trial process be fast, transparent and as fair as possible.

" As soon as Dick Marty's report filled the media with fabricated allegations, I immediately asked the international community to investigate independently. The international community told me that a special court was essential to remove the black cloud of accusations of organ trafficking in Kosovo. Now we know that I, like others, have been acquitted of these charges. I expect to be exonerated of any further charges against me at the conclusion of this process. I have been interviewed by all mechanisms of international justice, either as a witness or as a suspect. This has all been transparent. No one should write history like that, I believe in peace and justice. I hope that this process will be fast, fair and transparent" , he stressed./ CNA.al
