Russia warns that NATO enlargement will have a destabilizing effect on the world

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that NATO enlargement with the membership of Sweden and Finland would have a destabilizing effect on the world.

"We consider the expansion of the North Atlantic alliance as a purely destabilizing factor in international affairs," he said.

"What is happening [NATO enlargement to Eastern Europe] will now inevitably lead to compensatory measures on our part," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov was quoted as saying by the TASS news agency.

"Ne nuk do të mbyllim sytë ndaj kësaj lëvizjeje. Ne kemi aftësitë dhe burimet për këtë. Siguria do të jetë 100% e garantuar," tha Ryabkov.
