The wealth of Russian billionaires increases, who tops the list

The owner of the company "Evrohim", Andrey Melninchenko, has become the richest citizen of Russia, reports the magazine "Forbes".

Melnichenko tops the Russian Forbes list for the first time, and his wealth doubled in one year to $25.2 billion.

Last year he was in ninth place with a fortune of 11.1 billion dollars. 

The owner of the Novolipetsk steel plant, Vladimir Lisin, who topped the Russian list last year, dropped to third position, despite his wealth increasing from $18.4 billion to $22.1 billion.

Now in second place is Vladimir Potanin, whose wealth has increased from 17.3 to 23.7 billion dollars. 

The combined wealth of Russian billionaires last year rose from $353 billion to $505 billion, according to Forbes.
