Since the start of the conflict/ Trump: Over 9,000 American citizens have

US President Donald Trump has announced that since the launch of Operation Epic Fury, more than 9,000 American citizens have returned to the United States from the Middle East. In his post on the Truth Social platform, Trump said that all are in good health.

He also called on American citizens who are still in the Middle East and wish to return to the US to declare their data to the US State Department.

Full post:

Since the launch of Operation Epic Fury, more than 9,000 Americans have returned home safely from the Middle East. If you are a U.S. citizen in the Middle East and would like to return home, please register with the Department of State at Step.State.Gov.

The department will identify where you are and provide you with travel options. We are already offering charter flights, free of charge, and are booking commercial options, which we expect will become increasingly available over time.

U.S. citizens can also call the State Department's Task Force, which is available 24/7, at +1-202-501-4444. Step.State.Gov

On Sunday, the US embassy urged Americans across the Middle East, from Egypt to the east, to leave the region by commercial means, even as airports are closed or under draconian security measures across much of the region.

Some commercial air options remain available to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Egypt, the State Department said. The United States has closed many of its embassies in the region and ordered non-essential staff and their families to leave due to Iranian missile and drone attacks on US interests in the region, including diplomatic missions.

Governments and airlines are organizing repatriation flights for travelers stranded by the war in the Middle East—about 19,000 flights have been canceled in four days. Some commercial airlines resumed limited flights yesterday. /CNA
