Attacks on Iran/ Trump: I could have forced Israel, we were negotiating with crazy people

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, in his joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, spoke about the situation in Iran.

Asked if Israel forced the US to attack, Trump replied that he may have forced Israel.

Referring to Iran, the American president said that the US was negotiating with some crazy people who, in his opinion, wanted to attack them.

" No, I could have forced them. We were negotiating with these crazy people and my thinking was that they would attack first. I didn't want that to happen. So, if something had happened, I could have forced Israel to intervene. I think they were surprised, I was surprised, and now all these countries are fighting against them ," Trump said.
