UAE: We have enough ammunition for a prolonged conflict with Iran

The United Arab Emirates has enough ammunition to repel Iranian attacks as long as they continue, a defense ministry spokesman said.

"We have strategic ammunition storage that ensures the continuity and sustainability of the response of all types of weapons for a long time," said the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Abdel Nasseer Al Humaidi, at a press conference in Abu Dhabi.

He also said that the UAE "reserves the right to take all measures and procedures to combat any attack or aggression."

Minister of State for International Cooperation, Reem Al Hashimy, who also spoke at the conference, warned that any aggression against the UAE or its Gulf Arab neighbors “will be met with a response,” emphasizing the “legitimate right of the UAE to self-defense.”

Al Hashimy added that there is still room to return to dialogue "in order to contain the crisis and stop escalation."/ CNA
