Five killed, dozens injured in attack in Hamadan, Iran

At least five people have been killed and 25 others injured after a reported US-Israeli attack hit residential neighborhoods in the western city of Hamadan, the Iranian Mehr news agency reports.

The attacks hit populated areas, causing civilian casualties and significant damage to homes and infrastructure. Reports say some of the injured are in serious condition.

This incident is part of a wider military attack between the US, Israel and Iran, which has already caused hundreds of casualties and damage in various cities in the country, according to data from the Iranian Red Cross Network.

International organizations, including the World Health Organization, have confirmed explosions near hospitals, causing evacuations and concerns for the safety of civilians and health infrastructure.

Iranian officials have condemned the attacks as "indiscriminate" and called for international condemnation, as regional tensions continue to rise, with fears of an escalation of conflict in the Middle East./ CNA
