"The relationship with Britain is no longer the same"/ Trump criticizes Starmer

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, said that the relationship between the US and the United Kingdom is not what it used to be.

Trump also said that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer "has not been helpful" in the US and Israel's war against Iran. In an interview with The Sun, he said he never thought he would see their relationship at this level.

"It's very sad to see that the relationship is no longer what it was. I never thought I would see this from the UK," Trump said.

In a speech to the House of Commons on Monday, Starmer said the UK would not join the US and Israel in offensive attacks, but would focus on defensive action.

A drone hit the British military base RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus on Sunday and two more drones were shot down heading in the same direction on Monday. Meanwhile on Sunday evening, Starmer announced that the UK would allow the US to use British bases in its operations in Iran. /CNA
