Texas floods: Death toll rises to 59, 11 children missing

The search continues unabated for 11 children who remain missing after deadly flooding in Texas, which has killed 59 people so far.

Of the victims, 38 were adults and 21 were children, and a state of emergency has been declared in the area.

The missing minors are girls from a Christian camp located near the Guadalupe River, whose level rose more than six meters in less than two hours overnight.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott called the disaster one of the worst he has ever seen, saying the camp had been horribly destroyed by this natural disaster. He said rescue teams working around the clock will do everything they can to find every girl who was at the shelter.
