Acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, after the failure of the constitutive session for the 42nd time, said that the continued stance of other parties is regrettable, which according to him are continuously violating the constitution.

According to him, MPs from parties that were previously in opposition are attempting to usurp the assembly floor, claiming that the agenda is being changed.

"It is regrettable that the opposition parties are continuing to violate the Constitution. You heard them trying to usurp the podium, claiming that there is a constitutional violation and that the agenda is being changed. When in fact, the chairman of the session clearly emphasized that this is about the third item on the agenda, which is the vote for the chairman of the chairman. There is no change in the agenda, it is slander, what is being said by the opposition is untrue," declared Murati.

Murati emphasized that the violation of the Constitution is being committed by the opposition through its refusal to participate in the vote. According to him, the issue of the form of voting has been clearly clarified by the Constitutional Court.

"If there is any constitutional violation and the rules of procedure of the assembly, it is the non-voting that the opposition deputies are doing now and again by not participating in the vote. In its elaboration, the Constitutional Court has answered the question of whether secret voting is allowed or not," said Murati.

Murati emphasized that the current situation has two solutions: reaching a consensus, which according to him has been continuously obstructed by the opposition, or direct voting.

"We have two situations here: either there must be consensus, which the opposition parties have consistently rejected, or there must be a vote and the easiest way to find a solution and constitute the assembly," said Murati.

Tonight, the constitution of the Kosovo Assembly failed for the 42nd time.
