Ammunition depot explodes in Chad/ Victims and injured are reported
A large explosion has occurred in a warehouse in Chad,...

Greek border authorities are said to have taken refugees from land and thrown them back into the sea. This charge and other similar charges come from the victims and witnesses of these events, says an analysis of the British news station, "BBC". According to their own data, the journalists analyzed 15 cases during which 43 people died. The Greek Ministry of Water Transport and Island Policy has denied the allegations. But he told the "BBC" that the local transparency authorities will investigate the relevant materials in the video.
For years, European border authorities have occasionally been accused of illegal labor practices, such as forced returns, in which people who have crossed a state border are deported by force or the threat of force, without being able to apply for asylum. According to many jurists, this practice violates several international laws, including the Geneva Convention on Refugees, the European Convention on Human Rights and EU laws.
Greece
The road that runs from Turkey to Greece is one of the main routes along which people end up in the EU. Therefore, the pressure exerted on the Greek border authorities is great. Media and human rights organizations report from time to time numerous violations of international refugee law, both in the Aegean and in the sea between Greece and Turkey, but also on the land border between the two countries. The official centers react in different ways to the accusations made: Sometimes they say nothing, sometimes they dismiss the accusations, sometimes they announce that they will investigate the cases.
An example: Almost a year ago an old trawler with more than 700 migrants on board ended up in the sea off the Greek city of Pylos. Human rights and asylum organizations accuse Greek border guards of knowing the trawler was on maritime alert and still insisting on putting it into Italian waters. Only 104 passengers survived the sinking.
Croatia
Croatian border guards are also accused of forcibly deporting migrants to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In many cases, the affected people accuse the authorities of beating, stealing and humiliating them. Usually, the Croatian government categorically rejects such accusations.
HUNgARY
The Hungarian government treats such accusations quite differently. She often admits to supporting illegal practices, during which migrants are forcibly deported to Serbia without being given the opportunity to apply for asylum.
Spain
At the beginning of 2021, it was announced that together with the Frontex Administrative Council, the European anti-corruption authorities OLAF are conducting investigations against Frontex employees. Investigations are carried out not only against the committed acts, but also against the efforts of the authorities to cover them up. In April 2022, the director of Frontex, Fabrice Leggeri, resigned, among others, because of these accusations. Demands for a fundamental reformation of the border agency are becoming more and more vocal, yet the accusations continue unabated. It was recently announced that EU member states have criticized the non-creation of the new authority of 10,000 troops, which cannot be effectively replaced even by the new elite unit./ DW
