"The war ends when we decide"/ Iran confirms receipt of the US 15-point plan

Iran confirmed today that it had received a 15-point plan from the United States to end the war that began about a month ago, but rejected the proposals included in it as "excessive."

After Pakistani officials told the AFP news agency that the plan had been transmitted to Iran via Pakistan, Iranian state media quoted a government official as saying that Tehran wants to end the war, but only "at a time of its own choosing" and "only if its conditions are met."

According to the official, the main conditions are "an end to attacks and assassinations", the establishment of "concrete guarantees" that prevent a return to war, "payment for war damages" and recognition of Iranian sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to DW, he said that Iran would not allow US President Donald Trump to dictate the timing of the end of the war and that defensive operations would continue until his conditions were met. /CNA
