Lavrov: Results of parliamentary elections in Moldova are manipulated

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday dismissed the results of the Moldovan parliamentary elections as rigged.  

"I am amazed how votes can be manipulated so openly," Lavrov declared.

The ruling pro-European Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) won over 50% of the vote and accused Russia of interfering in the election.

Meanwhile, Lavrov claimed that PAS is not doing very well and praised the achievements made by pro-Russian parties.

Lavrov also refused to comment on the Gaza peace plan presented by United States President Donald Trump, stating that Moscow must first listen to the opinions of all regional stakeholders and, most importantly, the Palestinians themselves.

He added that Russia has not been invited to join the International Stabilization Force to help secure the enclave. /CNA
