Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated at the first physical government meeting after the snap elections that the country did not need these elections.

Despite this, Kurti added that citizens spoke clearly with their vote and that the election result must be accepted and respected.

"Kosovo did not need these elections and this result proves this, which we have said and repeated before they took place. In any case, the citizens spoke clearly again. The result must be accepted and respected, and the will of the people must be implemented and translated into functional and democratic institutions, committed and dedicated to development and welfare, education and health, security and defense, industry and production, major infrastructure investments from railways to dams, and beyond ," he said.

Among other things, Kurti also spoke about the constitution of the Assembly, the formation of the new government, and the election of the President, for which he said he will begin work and discussions as soon as the election results are certified.

"As soon as the election results are certified, we will begin work and discussions on the formation of new institutions: the constitution of the 11th legislature of the Assembly, the formation of the new government and the election of the President ," said the country's acting Prime Minister. /CNA
