Kurti: Kosovo will buy buildings for embassies in five key countries

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, said that the state will buy embassies in five different countries of the world.

During the meeting of the Government of Kosovo, Kurti said that the process of purchasing the buildings of the Kosovo embassies in Italy, Turkey, France, Germany and Canada has started.

"Yesterday we inaugurated the new facility of our Consulate in Strasbourg, which is now the property of the state and the permanent home of our Republic", Kurti said.

"So we are continuing with the acquisition of our embassy facilities in key countries for our diplomatic service, he added.

Until now, in addition to the Consulate facility in Strasbourg, France, Kosovo has also purchased the facilities of the embassies in the United States, the United Kingdom, Croatia and Senegal.

Kosovo has a total of 42 diplomatic missions around the world, including embassies and consulates. This also includes the Liaison Office in Serbia and the Office for Economic Interests in Greece.

According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kosovo's independence is recognized by more than 110 countries, including the majority from the European Union and the USA./REL
