Kosovo/ The company owned by Telecom Serbia is fined 1.56 million euros

The Competition Authority in Kosovo has fined the company MTS doo, one of the operators in the field of telecommunications, a company owned by Telecon Serbia, with 1 million, 563 thousand and 959.29 euros.  

In the announcement of the Competition Authority, the company, contrary to what the law provides, did not announce the purchase of 100 percent of the shares of the companies: VGN NET doo, LIKA doo, PP. PRKDS-IMPULS on behalf of IR – BI and Herc International.

The fine money must be transferred to the bank account of the Kosovo budget.

The Competition Authority had opened two different processes against MTS.

The first case, for which he imposed a fine, concerned the acquisition of four other small operators that also offer integrated Internet and cable television services without notifying the Competition Authority.

While the second has to do with the fact that the acquisition of the "Net Plus" operator of Graçanica with over 30 percent of the market in this municipality is also being targeted.

 MTS doo - the sister company of the state telecommunications operator of Serbia, "Telekom Serbia", which was established in 2015 on the basis of the Brussels Agreement, which Kosovo and Serbia reached within the dialogue for the normalization of relations, was removed months ago license. / CNA
