Oil company says Qatar suffered major damage from missile attacks

Qatar's state oil company, QatarEnergy, announced that missiles had hit Ras Laffan, one of the country's most important oil processing sites.

The complex is essential for the production and export of oil-fuel raw materials, making this incident worrisome for the global energy industry.

In a statement posted on social media, the company said that "Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to control the resulting fires, as extensive damage has been caused."

According to the company, rapid intervention has helped limit the spread of the fires, while inspections continue to assess the extent of the damage.

QatarEnergy also stressed that all personnel at the complex are involved and that there are no reported casualties so far.
