A cruel mother has been convicted of starving her son to death after following her crooked husband's beliefs that the baby should "live on sunshine" instead of food.
Newborn Kosmos died of pneumonia and weakness after Oxana Mironova, 33, and her husband Maxim Lyutyi, 43, failed to properly feed the baby.
Oxana pleaded guilty and expressed remorse for the death of her son who was less than a month old, a spokesman for the court in Armavir, Russia, said.
She was convicted of child neglect and failure in her duties as a mother.
