"Israel has accepted the conditions"/ Trump: New proposal to end the

United States President Donald Trump has suggested he may present a new proposal to end the war in Gaza, saying Israel has accepted his terms while continuing its assault on the Palestinian territory.

In a social media post on Sunday, Trump warned Hamas to accept his terms, saying he informed the group of the consequences of rejecting the offer.

"Everyone wants the hostages back home. Everyone wants this war to end!" Trump wrote.

Throughout the 20-month war, US officials have repeatedly claimed that Israel has accepted ceasefire efforts while Israeli leaders publicly vow to intensify their offensive, which leading human rights groups and scholars have described as genocide.

"The Israelis have accepted my terms. It is time for Hamas to accept them as well. I have warned Hamas of the consequences of non-acceptance. This is my last warning, there will be no more! Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump said.

It remains unclear what Trump's terms will entail, but he has previously issued similar verbal warnings to Hamas and predicted the war would end soon. On August 25, the US president said he thought the war would reach a final end within three weeks./CNA
