A spokesman for the Al Qassam Brigades, Hamas' armed wing, said civilian hostages would be executed and the killings broadcast if Israel targeted people in Gaza without warning.
"We declare that we will respond to any targeting of our people who are safe in their homes without warning by executing our civilian hostages and we will broadcast it in audio and video," Abu Obaida said in an audio statement that was broadcast Monday on Al Jazeera.
