Russian attack on Kiev/ 165 drones hit a civilian hospital, 1 fatality and

Russia carried out combined airstrikes with missiles and drones targeting several Ukrainian cities on Monday night, killing one person and wounding several others.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least 165 drones were launched across the border in the early hours of Monday, with about 100 of them Iranian-made Shahed attack drones.

Ukraine's Air Defense says an undisclosed number of projectiles, including ballistic missiles, were also fired in attacks targeting Kiev and the northern Ukrainian region of Chernihiv.

Zelensky said the attacks in the capital targeted a civilian hospital, prompting the evacuation of hospitalized patients.

Local officials say fragments of a drone or missile hit a four-story building, where an inpatient department was operating on the second floor, causing a fire and resulting in structural damage to the building's facade and interior. /CNA
