Billionaire Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump had dinner together at Mar-a-Lago, where Melania Trump was also present. The meeting comes after months of frosty relations between them. Musk posted a photo of the dinner on the “X” platform.

"Had a wonderful dinner last night with the President of the United States and the First Lady. 2026 will be amazing!" Musk wrote alongside the posted photo.

Their joint appearance is seen as a sign of a rekindled relationship, as Trump had previously stated that he had no intention of communicating with Musk, before later admitting that the Tesla and SpaceX head is, deep down, a good man.

A few hours after the dinner at Mar-A-Lago and amid recent developments in Venezuela, Musk continued with a series of posts on "X", expressing his support for the people of the country.

At the same time, Starlink announced that it would offer free broadband internet access in Venezuela until early February, a move it described as an effort to support people in a time of uncertainty. /CNA
