Russian troops attacked Ukraine with almost 50 Shahed drones, as well as UAVs, on Sunday afternoon. In addition, an Onyx anti-ship missile and two Kh-59/69 guided air-to-air missiles were launched into Ukrainian territory.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that it managed to neutralize 40 drones. The main areas of attack were the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

A day earlier, a number of Ukrainian cities were targeted by Russian attacks. Kharkiv suffered the most, after being hit by several powerful attacks using suicide drones, guided aerial bombs and rockets. According to the National Police, 6 people were killed and dozens more were injured in the Kharkiv region within 24 hours.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the new Russian attacks, calling on international partners to force Russia to make peace.

"Air bombing of civilians in the city - there is even a children's railway nearby. This makes no military sense. Pure terrorism. And this has been happening for more than three years of a full-scale war. This cannot be ignored. We cannot turn a blind eye to this. And this is not some kind of game. Every day we lose our people just because Russia feels impunity. Russia needs tough pressure for peace," Zelensky wrote on social media./CNA
